Home Sick
Today we all woke up a little under the weather. Andrew had a stuffy nose and a cough. I didn't feel all that great either. So when dad announced that Andrew should stay home today I was more than happy to give him a baggie of cereal and a glass of milk and then send us both back to bed! I don't think he went back to sleep like I did!! The boys stayed in their jammies most of the day and Andrew read all morning. We played a little chess and watched far to much TV. It was a much needed break. I was excited to capture Andrew camped out on our bed reading his chapter book. I have been practicing using the manual mode on my camera, the photos are turning out great. I was tickled to get this one. This is am indoor, very minimal natural light shot and the colors turned out great. None of that yucky yellow haze that happens with most indoor photos. I don't know why I didn't learn how to use that big letter "M" on the carmera sooner!!

Who bent the bouncy?
This is the second time Austin has crawled into the bouncy seat to watch a little Baby Einstein with sissy. The poor seat is practically touching the ground. Unfortunately, big guy, you are a few pounds over the weight limit for that thing. You are growing up way to fast! I really hope you keep that happy go lucky, playful, full of laughter type attitude. Even little Maddie knows brother is doing something silly again!

My view
One of the best things about our new house is the beautiful sunsets each night. In Omaha we didn't sit outside much in the evening just because it would be too humid, too buggy, too windy etc. but here the nights are perfect for a glass of wine and a little unwinding. For those of you not from Salt lake that is the Great Salt Lake and the surrounding swamps (or grasslands to be PC)
It's good to be home!

I am pretty sure this is one of the only photos I have taken in the past 10 months of Maddie sleeping. When she is napping I don't walk near her room let alone go in there and snap photos. Being #3 and all she doesn't get to nap in her crib all that much anyway. Between napping in the jogging stroller in the am and the car in the afternoon her crib is a welcome sight when we stay at home and chill!
This is about as messy as it got. Much to eveyones dissapointment there was not a lot of smashing going on here. Better luck in a few weeks at the family and friends party!
And then there was a BLOG....
Where did the past year go? I really have no idea. Honestly, my baby turned one on Saturday, and I realized I can't possibly scrapbook all the great stories I have to tell. (and certainly not in a timely fashion) I will give this blog thing a go. I can't promise this is going to be on any best seller list anytime soon but you will enjoy some great photos!
